Classification: Fossil Fungi, Incertae sedis, Amerosporae.

The monotypic fossil genus, Pezizasporites, was instituted by Huang (1981) from the Peliao Sandstone (Miocene, 23–5 mya) of Taiwan. Pezizasporites includes oval-elliptical fungal spores with thin reticulate spore wall. 

Type species: Pezizasporites taiwanensis T.C. Huang 1981
