Classification: Mycosphaerellaceae, Mycosphaerellales, Dothideomycetidae, Dothideomycetes, Pezizomycotina, Ascomycota, Fungi.

Neoceratosperma was introduced by Crous et al. (2014) to accommodate Neoceratosperma eucalypti based on morphological and molecular studies (ITS and LSU). Neoceratosperma has both sexual and asexual morphs; the asexual morph is zasmidium-like in morphology, while the sexual morph is mycosphaerella-like in morphology (Crous et al. 2014Guatimosim et al. 2016). To date, seven Neoceratosperma species have been identified.

Type species: Neoceratosperma eucalypti Crous & Cheew.

Other accepted species: Species Fungorum – search Neoceratosperma
