Fragiliporia, a genus of poroid wood-inhabiting fungi typified by Fragiliporia fragilis, which was found in China and placed in Fragiliporiaceae, a new family in Polyporales. Combined ITS, LSU, mtSSU, TEF1, and RPB2 sequences established a monophyletic clade of Fragiliporia fragilis in Polyporales. The genus is characterized by resupinate basidiocarps with very soft tubes when fresh, which become brittle when dry (becoming almost powdery when bruised), a monomitic hyphal system with thick-walled generative hyphae, clamp connections, and frequently H-, W-, or Y-shaped hyphae branching from the clamp connections (Zaho et al. 2015). This genus is monotypic.
Type species: Fragiliporia fragilis Y.C. Dai, B.K. Cui & C.L. Zhao
Other accepted species: This genus is monotypic.
