Classification: Sulcatisporaceae, Pleosporales, Pleosporomycetidae, Dothideomycetes, Pezizomycotina, Ascomycota, Fungi.
Sulcatispora was introduced to accommodate S. acerina (type species) and S. berchemiae (Tanaka et al. 2015). Sulcatispora differs from other genera within Sulcatisporaceae by its septate conidia with seriate ornamentation (Tanaka et al. 2015; Hongsanan et al. 2020a). Only the two species were accepted in this genus, both discovered in Japan.
Type species: Sulcatispora karsti Y.Y. Chen, J.F. Zhang & Jian K. Liu.
Other accepted species: Species Fungorum – search Sulcatispora.
