Ascomata apothecial, gregarious, sessile, disc smooth or finely granulated. Ectal excipulum composed of cells of textura globulosa to angularis. Medullary excipulum composed of cells of textura intricata. Asci operculate, non-amyloid, cylindrical, 8-spored. Ascospores ellipsoid to subfusiform, aseptate, guttulate. Paraphyses filiform, hyaline, cylindrical, slightly enlarged at the apices.

Notes: Peric´ et al. (2014) showed an unresolved phylogenetic position of this genus and suggested its relationship with Chorioactidaceae according to its morphology
