Scoriadopsis is poorly studied and contains a single species without molecular data. Scoriadopsis was recognized based on its sexual morph characters. It is closely associated with Meliola, and has globose or ovoid ascoma, with ostiolate, pedicellate, gelatinous, ovate asci, fusiform, 1-septate ascospores (Chomnunti et al. 2011).

Type species: Scoriadopsis miconiae J.M. Mend., in Stevens, Annls mycol. 28 (5/6): 365.
