Index Fungorum, Faceoffungi, MycoBank, GenBank, Fig 1.

Classification: Melanommataceae, Pleosporales, Pleosporomycetidae, Dothideomycetes, Pezizomycotina, Ascomycota, Fungi.

Sarimanas was introduced to accommodate S. shirakamiense (type species) and S. pseudofluviatile, which are characterized by immersed, globose to subglobose, ostiolate ascomata, septate pseudoparaphyses, cylindrical to ovoid asci and broadly fusiform, 1-septate, hyaline ascospores with an entire gelatinous sheath (Liu et al. 2015). So far, no further species have been described, and both were found in Japan (Liu et al. 2015).

Type species: Sarimanas shirakamiense M. Matsum., K. Hiray. & Kaz. Tanaka.

Other accepted species: Species Fungorum – search Sarimanas.
