The morphology of Readeriella has been re-visited by Sutton (1980) and Wijayawardene et al. (2016a). Crous et al. (2009d) showed that Readeriella resided in Teratosphaeriaceae in their phylogenetic analyses and designated the epitype of Readeriella mirabilis. See description and illustration in Crous et al. (2007a2009d), Wijayawardene et al. (2016a).

Type species: Readeriella mirabilis Syd. & P. Syd., Annls mycol. 6(5): 484 (1908).

Other accepted species: Species Fungorum – search Readeriella.
