Classification: Incertae sedis, Pleosporales, Pleosporomycetidae, Dothideomycetes, Pezizomycotina, Ascomycota, Fungi

Pseudochaetosphaeronema was introduced by Punithalingam (1979) to accomodate
P. larense as the type species. Pseudochaetosphaeronema members can found as saprobes in both terrestrial and aquatic habitats, as well as some can be human pathogens (Zhang et al. 2012a, Hongsanan et al. 2020a). Seven Pseudochaetosphaeronema species are listed in Index Fungorum (2022), such as P. ginkgonis, P. kunmingense, P. larense, P. martinelliP. pandanicola and
P. siamense. In this study, we introduce a new species, Pseudochaetosphaeronema magnoliae

Type species: Pseudochaetosphaeronema larense (Borelli & R. Zamora) Punith., Nova Hedwigia 31(1-3): 127 (1979).

Other accepted species: Species Fungorum – search Pseudochaetosphaeronema.
