Notes– The genus was introduced by Kirk (1982) for P.ilicinaand P.inaequiseptata.
Crous et al. (2015d) placed this genus within Beltraniaceae. Parapleurotheciopsisis characterised by unbranched, percurrent conidiophores arising from radially lobed basal cells, sympodial and denticulate conidiogenous cells and catenate conidia without a transverse band, lacking setae and swollen separating cells (Seifert et al. 2011).
