Notes – Oblongisporothyrium was introduced by Braun et al. (2018) to accommodate O. castanopsidis (≡ Actinopelte castanopsidis) as the type species. Oblongisporothyrium castanopsidis is similar to Paratubakia subglobosa in having scutellae with inwardly curved margins, hyaline to pigmented conidiogenous cells, and hyaline conidia, however it differs in having oblong conidia (vs. globose to subglobose in T. subglobosa) (Braun et al. 2018).

 

Type species: Oblongisporothyrium castanopsidis (T. Yokoy. & Tubaki) U. Braun & C. Nakash.
