Neorhamphoria was introduced as a genus incertae sedis in Tubeufiales. Lu et al. (2018b) accepted it as a member of Bezerromycetaceae based on phylogenetic and morphological evidence. Neorhamphoria is characterized by dark apothecial ascomata, broad cellular pseudoparaphyses, with bitunicate, broad-clavate asci, and hyaline, muriform ascospores.

Type species: Neorhamphoria garethjonesii Boonmee, Hüseyın & Selçuk, Mycosphere 7(9): 1451 (2016).
