Notes – Campbell et al. (2005) introduced the genus Lulwoidea to accommodate a Lulworthia species that did not group with type species Lulworthia fucicola. Two strains of Lulwoidea lignoarenaria formed a highly supported clade basal to a clade comprising the genera Sammeyersia, Kohlmeyeriella, Spathulospora and Lindra (Campbell et al. 2005). However, in a study by Poli et al. (2021) it grouped with Lulworthia atlantica.
Type species: Lulwoidea lignoarenaria (Jørg. Koch & E.B.G. Jones) Kohlm., Volkm-Kohlm., J. Campb., Spatafora & Gräfenhan, Mycol. Res. 109(5): 564 (2005).
Other accepted species: Species Fungorum – search Lulwoidea.
