The order Hymenochaetales now includes five accepted families, viz. Hymenochaetaceae, Schizoporaceae, Neoantrodiellaceae, Oxyporaceae and Nigrofomitaceae. However, some genera in this order have uncertain positions at the family level and as well certain genera are not monophyletic. Therefore, much more effort is needed to construct a comprehensive phylogenetic framework for the Hymenochaetales.
