Glomerellales nested within Hypocreomycetidae, represents a fascinating array of fungi, ranging from endophytes and saprobes to plant and animal pathogens. These versatile fungi thrive in diverse ecosystems across the world (Hyde et al. 2020b). What sets them apart are their distinctive apostromatal and endostromatal ascomata, alongside their hyaline and aseptate ascospores. Glomerellales boasts a rich diversity further delineated into five families, Australiascaceae, Glomerellaceae, Malaysiascaceae, Reticulascaceae, Trichosphaeriaceae (Hyde et al. 2024a).
