The generic description of Endoconidiophora was emended and described from both sexual and asexual morphs lacking aleurioconidia (de Beer et al. 2014). Eight species were confirmed with molecular data mostly from ex-types, and E. coerulescens was confirmed from a new collection (de Beer et al. 2014). Epitypification of E. coerulescens which is the type species of Endoconidiophora, is required.
