Notes—The order Corticiales was introduced by Hibbett et al. (2007) based on phylogeny for the taxa previously in the Vuilleminiales, the Dendrocorticium group, and the corticioid group (Hibbett et al. 2014). The four families viz. Corticiaceae, Dendrominiaceae, Punctulariaceae and Vuilleminiaceae are presently recognised in Corticiales (Wijayawardene et al. 2020). Most of the members are resupinate species that produce smooth hymenophores, with or without clamps, and smooth basidiospores (Hibbett et al. 2014) and some species are only known from their asexual states. Members of the Corticiales are saprotrophs, plant pathogens, lichen pathogens, and lichenized species (Lawrey et al. 2008; Hibbett et al. 2014; Diederich et al. 2018).
