Classification: Tubeufiaceae, Tubeufiales, Incertae sedis, Dothideomycetes, Pezizomycotina, Ascomycota, Fungi.

Notes: Camporesiomyces was established by Hyde et al. (2020) to accommodate the type species C. mali, and two additional species (C. patagonicus and C. vaccinii) based on their molecular data and morphological characteristics. Camporesiomyces species were found on dead wood of Malus halliana, Nothofagus alpina, palma, and Vaccinium elliotii from terrestrial habitats in various regions, including Argentina, China, Peru, and the USA (Ciccarone 1989; Matsushima 1993; Zhao et al. 2007; Sanchez et al. 2012; Lu et al. 2018b; Hyde et al. 2020). Camporesiomyces vaccinii is the only accepted helicosporous taxon in this genus (Hyde et al. 2020). Camporesiomyces vaccinii (≡ Helicoma vaccinii) was introduced by Ciccarone (1989). Matsushima (1993) and Zhao et al. (2007) reported two new records for this taxon. Tsui and Berbee (2006) first provided molecular data for Helicoma vaccinii (CBS 216.90). Subsequently, CBS 216.90 was identified as Helicosporium vaccinii by several authors (Boonmee et al. 2014; Brahmanage et al. 2017; Chaiwan et al. 2017; Lu et al. 2017a). However, Lu et al. (2018b) retained CBS 216.90 as Helicoma vaccinii based on morphological evidence. The asexual morph of Camporesiomyces resembles Helicoma species in conidiophore and conidiogenous cell features. However, Camporesiomyces vaccinii can be distinguished from Helicoma species by its long basal cell, which tapers towards narrow base conidia (Ciccarone 1989; Matsushima 1993; Zhao et al. 2007).

Type species: Camporesiomyces mali D.P. Wei & K.D. Hyde, Fungal Diversity 100: 139 (2020).

Other accepted species: Species Fungorum – search Camporesiomyces.
