Calcarisporium occurs on Pezizaceae (Preuss 1851), Russulaceae (Anke & Sterner 1988) and Cordyceps (Sun et al. 20162019), and litter leaf (Somrithipol & Jones 2006). Species are distinguished by hyaline, erect, verticillate conidiophores with sympodial and denticulate, polyblastic conidiation.

Type species: Calcarisporium arbuscula Preuss, Linnaea 24: 124 (1851).

Other accepted species: Species Fungorum – search Calcarisporium.
