Alcorn & Irwin (1987) introduced Acrocalymma to accommodate the root pathogen
A. medicaginis on Medicago in Australia. There are eleven Acrocalymma epithets in Species Fungorum (2022). 

Type species: Acrocalymma medicaginis Alcorn & J.A.G. Irwin, Trans. Br. mycol. Soc. 88(2): 163 (1987).

Other accepted species: Species Fungorum – search Acrocalymma.
