Classification: TubeufiaceaeTubeufiales, Incertae sedis, DothideomycetesPezizomycotinaAscomycota, Fungi.

Notes: Acanthostigmina was first described by Von Höhnel (1909), with A. minuta as the type species. Currently, the genus includes two known sexual species, namely A. minuta and A. multiseptatum. These species have previously been identified and reported by Crane et al. (1998), Réblová and Barr (2000), Promputtha and Miller (2010), Boonmee et al. (2014), Lu et al. (2018b), and Yang et al. (2024). In this study, we provide asexual-sexual morphological characteristics and molecular evidence for A. multiseptatum.

Type species: Acanthostigmina minuta (Fuckel) Clem. & Shear, The genera of Fungi: 270 (1931)

Other accepted species: Species Fungorum – search Acanthostigmina.
